About Me

Mariann McKee: Mariann McKee’s rich colorful paintings have evolved as a result of her many trans-continental journeys. Her artistic passion has driven her to study drawing, papermaking, printmaking, watercolor, painting as well as art history. Her diverse studies and travels have all contributed to her painterly vocabulary and expressionistic style. Her subject matter ranges from the human form to whimsical animals painted with a juxtaposition of impasto, or heavy texture, with rich expressive colorful glazes. “My primary focus is color. I love exploring its possibilities mixed with people, animals and everyday objects. I thrive on the energy that it brings to me.”
